Correction: unlike WAE CW/SSB, in  WAE-RTTY the multipliers are the same for
EU/DX and everybody is allowed to work everybody. But question remains: mixed
categories or separate?

Subject: [RTTY] WAEDC Rule Change ?

I just noticed an important change in WAEDC 2017 rules, which will apply also to
this weekend contest.
As per rules, there are no separate categories for EU and non-EU:3 Categories

·        SINGLE-OP LOW

·        SINGLE-OP HIGH.

·        MULTI-OP

My point of view is that, since the multiplier scheme is different andthe
contest itself is not WW type, then we should not mix EU with DX in thesame
category.
The above change is confirmed by recently published results of WAE-CW,where EU
and DX are all mixed in the 3 above mentioned categories.

I sent a separate mail to WAEDC manager (DF7ZS) to confirm the new rule, but no
reply yet.

See you all this weekend, in the QTC game.

 73, Alex YO9HP
