Might be a problem with LOTW when they don't exactly match. I think I would not add anything to my callsign unless required by FCC or the contest rules.

You do not need to put /2 or anything when operating portable in this country. That rule was changed long ago.

It is not need and just adds to the time of the QSO.

Lesson learned! I will operate as /2 whenever working a contest away
from home, while in NY State, anyway! LOTW accepted the /P designation,
as did eQSL. I have a separate certificate with the /P in LOTW, and a
linked account in eQSL.
