The StarTech ICUSB2324X uses the TI TUSB3410 chipset.
The TUSB3410 datasheet <http://www.ti.com/product/TUSB3410/datasheet>
indicates support for data rates 50 BPS to 921.6 kbps. It will not
work with MMTTY for 45 baud (60 WPM) RTTY unless you use EXTFSK.
To the best of my knowledge the *only* USB serial converters that will
support 45 baud are the "Edgeport" series by Digi International:
Surplus Edgeport/4 (4 port) are often available on eBay as are 1, 2
and 8 port versions.

I chose this adapter because WB5TUF uses it in the same configuration and it
works flawlessly for him with N1MM+ and the embedded MMTTY engine.
No EXTFSK; using the FSK and PTT. I'm letting MMTTY open the port for serial
data out the TXD pin to the W1AN adapter. If I examine port settings for COM 5
in device manager, the drop down boxes seem to support 5 data bits and 1.5 stop
bits as required. The data rate has choices down to 75 bps, which may be related
to the issue. I think the port needs to talk 45.45 bps.
The only difference between my configuration and WB5TUF is the O/S. He uses Win
7 and I'm on Win 10.
Thanks for responding. 73
