Just worked 7O6T on 17m - 3 calls. I was definitely lucky in my frequency
selection, but would have missed the QSO except that I happen to catch my call
on the dx reply during breaks in UP UP UP bullshit. Everyone should use DXlab
- it even sets your split tx frequency for you!
Which is really worse: stations that (usually) make the honest mistake of
forgetting to press split but only transmit while the dx station is listening,
or the DX cop morons that call while the DX station is transmitting? On SSB
they don't even seem to spend any time trying to work the DX. They spend time
chatting amongst themselves on the DX frequency trading what they think are
snarky comments.
I got them on all 3 modes with 4 QSO's on 2 bands - 20 and 17. I'm perfectly
happy with that!

I also witnessed the NA NA NA plus the song and bs crap, etc. Disgusting.
Here in Central VA the offender was strong on my dipole. I am curious if any
others who heard this crap were able to determine a general direction with a
directional antenna.
The QYF suggestion is not the answer. It worked poorly for the Bouvet
operation and other operations where it was used. I remember the experience
vividly.
The real answer is to nail the sucker, but that may be difficult unless we can
identify a general area where the signal came from, and, then, we will have to
get lucky to find the person. I suspect a repeat offender that will show up
often.
Good luck to those still needing 7O on rtty. I am sure the ops are overwhelmed
by the numbers from EU with better prop.
