I think that we really want is a DXCC program that recognizes significant
accomplishment. DXCC on 20 meter SSB is one thing, DXCC on 6 meter RTTY is
something entirely different. In fact, I don't think it's ever been done.
Shouldn't the DXCC program be able to recognize an accomplishment that requires
significant skill, dedication and persistence? Isn't that what the awards
program is all about anyway?
In the age of computers, and especially LotW, sorting out awards by a
combination of bands and modes is child's play, and would be a source of
additional income for ARRL with each new certificate issued.
Why not do it?
