I had problems like that too on 160 meters and the cure was to place the
transceiver and computer physically next to each other and run a short
ground strap between the chassis. Another thing often overlooked is the
AC plug from the computer and the one from the transceiver power supply
should be plugged into the same AC outlet. Otherwise the 3rd wire
grounds are not connected together but have many feet of "ground" wire
in between them, making a nice little antenna.

RFI can be a real headache so just keep trying things till it works. Too
bad we can't see RF - then it would be easy.  :-)
