We had a full time RTTY station last year and plan to one or more again this
year. The new and inactive hams had a blast learning a new mode and/or the
simplicity of getting on RTTY. I have found that since many new hams have
"mic fright", this is a great way to introduce them into the activities and
contesting.
It is something the younger hams can relate with their texting and cell
phones.
The majority of our activity was on 20 and 40 meters ---- usual RTTY
frequencies.
Look for WM4CC the fourth rainy weekend in June :)

Subject: [RTTY] RTTY in ARRL Field Day
How much RTTY activity is there in the ARRL Field Day? Any particular
operating frequencies or characteristics that are different than contests?
Thanks,
