Yes , it was 1961 , with an old Hallicrafters SW500 and bfo , bandspread
and 125' of wire strung around the inside of the attic.
Wrote out the code on a piece of paper and tacked it to the
wall just above the receiver. Had a lot of fun listening while I
learned CW. ( 11 yrs of age )
