Or do as their web page says, just use a SoftRock (change the crystal
on it) and feed it into your favorite software to display the
waterfall or spectrum on your computer display.
Cost about $15 for the SoftRock, plus a custom crystal, plus a sound
card and a couple of hours to build the SoftRock.
With software, you can play tricks that simple bandscopes cannot, one
of which is applying 1-D and 2-D noise reduction tricks. I recently
experimented with noise reduction for waterfalls and it is quite eye
opening [sic].
