Wouldn't it be: TOOAPTAPTAPT ?  (The dash is a shifted A if I remember
correctly)

Most of us recognize the correct numbers in this case are the ones directly
above the letter keys for what appears on the screen.  

So Q=1, W=2, etc.  Pretty easy once you get the hang of it, but for those
that don't keyboard, it could take a lot of extra time.

I disagree. With no spaces, you lose the advantage of USOS, even with 
all numbers. If the FIGS shift character gets munged at the start of 
your transmission, the other guy will print TOO-PT-PT-PT. If USOS is 
on, he will print TOO 05 05 05. Since by now, everybody knows what 
TOO is, he can log it correctly and move on while the dash-using 
station will be sending repeats.

Try it, you'll like it. :-)
