Why is it we have to "hope" we are operating OK?

I have <2 years RTTY experience but I know when I can't decode a signal
(probably happens 1 time each contest) I tell the station that they have an
potential problem, I would hope and expect everyone else would do the same?

Then again I am not Big Time Radio and I mostly contest just for fun, (at
least when I am SO), even so I still manage to get an odd certificate here
and there, (helps to enter in the "right" category sometimes, ;-))

Happy Holidays to all,

Sure would be nice if someone with quality receiving equipment and the
skill to operate it in a laboratory setup mode could set up a "Clinic" some
Saturday afternoon(s) to help guys evaluate their transmitted RTTY sigs.
Not sure what it would take, but it sure would help lots of us who have to
just trust and hope we are operating OK.
