One workaround I had forgotten about is to set your font to FIXEDSYS. The number zero has a sort of squiggle in it which makes it distinctive from the letter O. It's not exactly a slash, but there's no confusing the two. There shouldn't be any problem with Cabrillo logs not recognizing the character as a zero.

FIXEDSYS has been around a long time, so if your version doesn't have the squiggle, update.
