The key term is "magic" and I noted a number of EU ops reporting in the 20's and 30's, and lots in 40's and 50's in JARTS contest.

Just means some are finding this perfect mode earlier than others, but at least they are finding it!

I started RTTY and RTTY contesting in Septembe 2003; slow learner I guess.

I noticed the same thing.

In these days of cell phones and the internet, ham radio just doesn't
have the appeal to youngsters like in our day.  It is kind of sad, but
time marches on.

47 years licensed, and the magic is still there, for me anyway. :-)
