I went to the web site K0BX gave us for VU2WAP. Very nice web site. It
states that logs are entered from
24 October 1998 through 24 November 2002. I worked VU2WAP four times in 2001
on 20 and 15 meters. When I did a log search for KS0M, it said I was not in
the log. Yet, I have QSL's to confirm that I worked him. His logs evidently
are not complete. I do not use e-QSL, but I went to their site and found
that I have 2 QSL's from VU2WAP there. If any of you do a log search from
his web page, the results may not be correct.
VU calls are difficult to find in the Black Hole of Mid-USA. Between
December 1979 and December 2001, I have worked 27 VU calls. None since
December 2001. I have heard VU2WAP several times on 20 meters this year.
But, as I have that band/call confirmed, I have not tried to work him again
so that the needy can make the contact.
I hope to work a bunch of you this week end in the CQ WW.
