I was listening to 15 meters for several hours before the start of the Anarts
contest. The previous day there had been numerous European/African signals on
15 meters but on Friday they were scarce and weak. There was little activity
from anywhere and the band did not sound to be in good shape. Then the
contest started, 15 meters is full of S-9 signals and has been for the last 2
hours. Im constantly reminded of the saying "just because there are no signals
doesn't mean the band
isn't open." Im going to miss this one because of visitors from the
mainland, Im off
to the airport in 45 minutes and entertaining for the next 3 days.
Looking forward to seeing the scores at the end.
