DOS programs run really well under DOS!
I'd get a new computer with what ever operating system it comes with
for email, internet, etc.
Keep your present computer for in the shack, put DOS 6.22 on it to
use with CT, etc.  If you absolutely need Windows on it, put good
old solid 95 version 950B or 98SE on it!

Just my opinion, but that's what I'd do ---- well, that's what I did!
