The only reason that they are pinned with it is that the SOMR guy's won't
get behind a seperate class. If they did we would not have any restrictions
on SO1R but one radio. After all we don't have any difference in HP and LP
other than the operators admission that they complied with the rules.

Isn't it interesting that all of these 10 minute rules are in reaction by
various contest sponsers to multi radio single operator insistance?

Whoops wrong again. Since there wasn't anyone on 10 to work, if you were
using one
radio you could just switch to 15 and map away in any case if you were SO1R.

>Man, are we having fun yet?

You bet! I can't make Dayton so at least wanted to get in on the
discussions. As to the 10 minute rule it was created to try and fix what is
actually a difference of classification, Don's right it doesn't work very
well, but neither did it make M/S much fun.

In the old day's prior to M/S with a 10 minute rule, we ran a lot more
action with 2 radio's in a octupus it just wasn't really the same class as
those who were using a second radio without amp and trying for mults, etc.
We regularly were accussed of having two signals on the air at one time,
until Roy, KT1N (W1RY) actually participated in the lockout box arrangement
that we used which made it physically impossible to transmit two signals at
once.

Don, talks about the unlimited single, so too was the M/S unlimited, but
then they had to fix it with the 10 minute rules. So too has SOMR caused
the 10 minute rule for Single operators, am I in favor of it, NO. But
neither was I in favor of the addition of the 10 minute rule to the M/S
class. But with change comes change. High time to accept that what you
are getting is that which SOMultiRadio's caused.
