What a "deal"! Get to spend time with my grandson while my son operates!
After all of my concern about QTC's, things went relatively smooth. Only
problems were with receiving, and I expect that was operator error! I
apologize to the two stations that tried to send to me and I was unable to
complete the exchange. Both times I was unable to exit the "receive" window,
and it was necessary to restart the computer? I appreciate the time and
patience of all stations that exchanged QTC's with me! I didn't experience
the aforementioned problem with being asked for QTC's while CQing, unless I
had made several CQ's with no answer. I believe that should be the correct
protocol? I did manage to work two new ones, A45WD and 4K6DI, along with
several stations that sent 001 as their serial number, late in the contest.
Also, along with most of the "regulars", I am still adding about 7-10%
verifiable "new stations" in my log each contest. Thanks to DARC for
sponsoring the contest, and to all for the contacts! Other than the two new
ones, the most memorable was one station using my "trademark", C'Ya, after
the exchange! :)
