Hi,
You might consider taking a closer look at your RFI by using an SDR to
characterize what is happening over time. See:
https://www.nk7z.net/sdr-rfi-survey-p1/
In some cases, that helps a lot in location, as you get a better feel
for what the source is actually doing across a longer time period, and
wider frequency range.
73, and thanks,
Dave (NK7Z)

I'm primarily a MW DXer. I have a remote set-up on an island south of
Alaska. I'm 10 miles out of town, and almost that much from the town's
diesel generator (and a relatively new solar farm). I do have neighbours
in the area, but very spread out along a road alongside the ocean. The
closest is a hundred yards away, and spaced every several hundred yards
along the road. We have 4.4 acres of ocean front. I'm very noise averse,
and have been careful to avoid any potential noise sources within our
household. This source seems to have begun over the last 6 months, and can
be present day or night. As I type this, the intermittent buzzing, which
sounds almost like CW can become a steady buzz for a few seconds, and again
becomes intermittent. I can hear it much worse in the VLF/LF band. I've
attached links to 3 mp4 files. I'd appreciate any input on solving this
new noise issue! Thanks!
