Hi Jim,
I use google earth on almost every case to get distance and bearing and it
sure is a great tool. Mikes property and his closest antenna in his EFBS
receive array is about 50 feet from the neighbors property line and about
200 feet from the neighbors house. What was interesting about this case is
that the noise level was so high on his 160 meter EFBS receive array and
not high at all on his YCCC receive array. Turns out that one of his
antennas in the EFBS array is very close to the guilty neighbor whereas
none of his antennas in the YCCC array were as close. Makes sense now but
originally we were confused, and that was because the noise source was in
so close to his property in regards to one of his antennas in his EFBS
array. The only thing that helped us figure out what was going on was to
do DFing right on his property with my new terminated loop antenna, and
that quickly led us to the neighbors house.
Good luck, and sounds like it's just about time for you to knock on the
door of your suspect residence to get their assistance in confirming their
property is indeed the source and then figure out what device is the root
cause of the problem.
