Don,
What is the distance between station antenna and the offending noise maker?
Google maps has a quick, handy distance measuring tool once in the map,
using the satellite view even.
I have a noise source on 160 that I tracked to a residence, and the utilities
are buried leading me to think it is something other than a power line arc.
I do recall seeing a cable TV coax lying on the surface to one side of the
alley paving while making one bicycle run down the alley, in the vicinity
of the residence, so I wonder now if those two are somehow related in
this case too? On another 'run' I will RF sniff the cable itself.
The distance in my case is 3,920 ft or 1.2 km from my QTH to the
residence with the noise maker at ~20 degrees compass bearing.

I just uploaded a video on your tube that shows RFI that Mike (W9RE) has on
160 meters that we tracked down to a neighbors Comcast cable box and
associated power supply.
Here is a link to the video for those interested. https://youtu.be/qXGf4l9j2wk
P.S. Mike had never met these neighbors and they were amazing people to
work with. They let Mike and I come into their home, turn off circuit
breakers, and walk around their home until we found the offending device.
They are now going to work with Comcast and Mike to find a solution as a
power line choke made with a number 31 material Toroid core did not reduce
the RFI.
Just FYI and 73,
