Hi,
I thought I might jot down some thoughts and share them with the
collective...
This is not directed at any one, nor any group, but respectfully we all
seem to spend a great deal of time, understanding the specs and rules
needed to file a complaint, only to have that complaint fall on somewhat
deaf ears with regards to the FCC.
While I am not pointing blame at the FCC, (they do have other things to
do than chase RFI, and are short staffed), I think we really need to all
think about how to better motivate the FCC to enforce the rules we all
know so well, with the same vigor we show for getting which rule was
violated identified.
I sadly have no idea how to motivate a government agency...
Perhaps a grass roots effort by the ARRL to contact the Congress folk in
each state, and bring the issue of RFI to their attention, or an effort
by clubs on a state by state basis, to get paperwork in front of their
Congress critters dealing with RFI...
In any case there needs to be a coordinating agency, like the ARRL
managing this sort of thing...
I would even be happy to pay a fee of some sort to get enforcement
moving... It is really getting bad out here in RFI land...
Again, this is not directed at any one, or any group, just some general
ramblings on my part... I shall now don my flame suit... :)
