HomePlug, HPNA and the VDSL folks all recognized that they had a potential
interference problem. They put that problem on the table and addressed it head
on.
The BPL industry started off by saying that they would not cause any radio
interference.
It is not possible to work with someone on a problem they claim does not exist.
By my estimation, the ~30 dB notches that are used by HomePlug would not really
be enough for access BPL. 55 dB would be necessary. This is a bit tough to
achieve in practice.
