Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Nov 19 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Both Regions 2896 (S18E12, Hsx/alpha) and 2897 (N15E25, Hsx/alpha) were stable and quiet. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low over 19-21 Nov.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels over 19-21 Nov. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were in decline over the period. Solar wind speed decreased from approximately 550 km/s to near 450 km/s. Total field ranged from 2-4 nT while the Bz component was between +/-2 nT. Phi angle was oriented in a negative sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to continue to decrease to nominal levels on 19 Nov. Mid to late on 20 Nov, another negative polarity CH HSS is expected to become geoeffective and persist through 21 Nov.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Mostly quiet conditions are expected on 19 Nov. By mid to late 20 Nov, CH HSS onset is expected to cause unsettled to active levels. Unsettled to active levels are expected to persist through 21 Nov.
