Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Jul 23 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at very low levels. All regions were stable or in decay. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low with a chance for C-class flares on 23-24 Jul.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux maintained background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be normal to moderate over 23-25 Jul, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of waning, positive polarity CH HSS influences. Solar wind speed decreased from ~450 km/s near the beginning of the period to ~400 km/s by the periods end. Total magnetic field strength below 5 nT for most of the day. No significant periods of southward Bz were observed. Phi angle was predominantly positive.

Forecast: Late on 23 Jul, possible influence from the 20 Jul CME may cause enhancements in the solar wind. Any transient influences are likely to continue into 24 Jul, but weaken as CME effects wane. 25 Jul is expected to see a return to nominal conditions.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: Late on 23 Jul, unsettled to active, with a slight chance for isolated G1 (Minor) storm levels are possible due to influences from a glancing blow CME. Unsettled to active levels may persist through early 24 Jul. 25 Jul is expected to see a return to mostly quiet levels.
