Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Jul 09 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was low. Region 2840 (N27, L=036) which recently rotated around the west limb produced multiple C-class events, a C6 flare at 09/0755 UTC and a C7 flare at 09/1050 UTC, with an associated Type II radio sweep. Region 2839 (N19W20, Axx/alpha) was stable and absent of significant flare activity. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low with a slight chance of C-class flaring on 09 Jul, followed by very low levels on 10-11 Jul.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels on 09-11 Jul and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected background conditions.

Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to be at mostly nominal levels on 09-10 Jul. By mid to late on 11 Jul, parameters are expected to become enhanced due to the arrival of a negative polarity CH HSS.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Mostly quiet conditions are expected on 09-10 Jul. Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on 11 Jul due to CH HSS onset.
