Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2021 Apr 29 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at very low levels. Regions 2818 (S17W45, Hsx/alpha), 2820 (S22W51, Cso/beta), and 2821 (S22W63, Cr/beta) were all stable and in decay.

No Earth-directed CMEs were noted in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is anticipated to be at very low levels with a chance for C-class flares 29-30 Apr and decreasing to just a slight chance on 01 May.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 29 Mar and then be at moderate to high levels through 01 May. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: The solar wind was at background levels. Total field ranged 2-4 nT, the Bz component was +/- 2 nT, and wind speeds bottomed at 325-330 km/s. Phi was in a negative solar sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be at or near background levels through 29 Apr. Some material from the filament eruption that occurred on 26 Apr may pass close enough to Earth to elevate solar wind parameters late on 30 Apr into 01 May.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: Quiet levels are expected through 29 Apr and most of 30 Apr. Late on 30 Apr, and into 01 May, material from the filament eruption on 26 Apr may pass close enough to Earth to create unsettled conditions with a chance for isolated active periods.
