Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Dec 05 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was low. Region 2786 (S23E30, Hsx/alpha) produced a C1/sf X-ray flare at 05/0038 UTC, the largest of the period. The regions trailer spots were in decay. Region 2786 (S18W79, Cko/beta) exhibited decay in its leader spot while developing a small trailer spot. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low with a chance for further C-class activity on 05 Dec followed by a slight chance for C-flares on 06-07 Dec.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was well below the warning threshold and continued to trend toward background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 05-07 Dec. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to return to background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the ACE spacecraft, reflected mostly nominal conditions. Total magnetic field strength was between 5-7 nT while the Bz component briefly reached as far south as -5 nT. Solar wind speeds were primarily between ~300-400 km/s. Phi angle was oriented in the negative sector.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be at nominal levels on 05-07 Dec.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet on 05-07 Dec.
