Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Aug 27 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 27-29 Aug.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux maintained background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels on 27-28 Aug, likely increasing to moderate to high levels by 29 Aug. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected the influence from a positive polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speed increased from ~375 km/s to ~480 km/s, total field varied from 1-8 nT, and the Bz component saw a maximum southward deviation to -7 nT. Phi angle remained in a predominantly positive orientation.

Forecast: Solar wind conditions are expected to remain enhanced on 27-29 Aug as CH influence persists.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field remained quiet, despite the increase in the solar wind fields.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to unsettled, with a chance for isolated active periods, on 27-28 Aug. By 29 Aug, conditions are expected to become more unsettled, with active periods likely, due to increased CH HSS effects.
