Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Aug 26 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 26-28 Aug.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux maintained background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels on 26-28 Aug, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were near ambient conditions until 26/05 UTC. Solar wind speed increased from ~350 km/s to ~450 km/s, total field increased to 8 nT before averaging closer to 5 nT, though southward Bz deviations were brief and intermittent. Phi angle was primarily in a positive orientation.

Forecast: Solar wind conditions are expected to continue to be slightly elevated on 26 Aug due to a weak connection with an extension of the N. polar coronal hole. The enhancements should begin to subside by 27 Aug, continuing to decrease on 28 Aug, as CH influence diminishes.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to unsettled, with a chance for isolated active periods, on 26 Aug. A return to quiet conditions is expected for 27-28 Aug.
