Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Feb 07 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low under a spotless visible disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels on 07-09 Feb.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: Moderate to high electron flux levels are expected through 09 Feb due to CH HSS influence. The proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters indicated continued influence from a negative polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speed increased from 450 km/s to near 675 km/s through about 07/0200 UTC where it slowly declined to a steady speeds of about 600 km/s. Total field reached a maximum of 10 nT with a maximum southward Bz component reaching -9 nT. Phi angle was predominantly oriented in a negative solar sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be enhanced through the remainder of 07 Feb as CH HSS influence persists. A gradual return to nominal levels is expected on 08-09 Feb as the HSS diminishes.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to active levels due to negative polarity CH HSS activity.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to active, with a chance for G1 (minor) geomagnetic storming, on 07 Feb due to persistent CH HSS activity. Quiet to unsettled levels are expected on 08 Feb, with mostly quiet levels on 09 Feb as HSS effects wane.
