Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Feb 07 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The solar disk remained spotless and no Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 07-09 Feb.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 2252 pfu observed at 06/2300 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at moderate levels 07-08 Feb due to CIR effects, and at moderate to high levels 09 Feb due to prolonged CH HSS influence. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels 07-09 Feb.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected nominal conditions. Wind speeds averaged near 430 km/s. Total field was near 5 nT, and the Bz component was +/- 5 nT. The phi angle remained in a predominately negative sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to become enhance further over the course of 07-09 Feb as a CIR and subsequent CH HSS move into a favorable geoeffective position.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels.

Forecast:

Unsettled conditions, with a chance of isolated active periods, are expected on 07 Feb. Active conditions are likely 08-09 Feb in response to a negative polarity CH HSS.
