Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Oct 02 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2723 (S08W32, Bxo/beta) remained inactive. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low on 02-04 Oct.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at moderate levels, reaching a peak of 538 pfu. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach moderate to high levels on 02-04 Oct. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters indicated a mostly nominal wind regime. Total field strength ranged between 2-10 nT while the Bz component varied between +/-7 nT. Solar wind speed increased from 400 to 500 km/s. The phi angle was in a predominately positive sector through the period.

Forecast: Solar wind conditions are anticipated to become slightly elevated on 02 Oct due to recurrent SSBC activity. A return toward ambient background conditions is expected by 03 and 04 Oct.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to active levels.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mainly quiet to unsettled, with a likely period of active conditions on 02 Oct in response to SSBC conditions. Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on 03 and 04 Oct.
