Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Mar 29 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low and the visible disk remained spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low over the next three days (29-31 Mar).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels this period with a maximum flux of 43,750 pfu observed at 28/2045 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels the next three days (29-31 Mar). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels throughout the period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters showed the waning influence of a negative polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speed decreased from around 430 km/s to 370 km/s during the period. Total field was between 1-3 nT, and Bz varied between -3 nT and +2 nT. Phi angle was predominantly negative.

Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to become enhanced on days one and two (29-30 Mar) due to the anticipated influence of a polar-connected, positive polarity CH HSS. A return to nominal levels is expected on day three (31 Mar) as the CH HSS pushes downwind of Earth.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field ranged was at quiet levels.

Forecast: Days one and two (29-30 Mar) will likely observe unsettled to active levels due to the anticipated arrival of a polar-connected, positive polarity CH HSS. Day three (31 Mar) is expected to be at mostly quiet to unsettled levels as the CH HSS passes.
