Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2016 Jul 02 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low throughout the forecast period (02-04 Jul).

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on days one and two (02-03 Jul) and moderate to high levels on day three (04 Jul) due to CH HSS influences. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters continued to decrease through the period. Solar wind speed decreased from approximately 405 km/s to near 350 km/s. Total field ranged from 2 nT to 5 nT while the Bz component was between +/-3 nT. Phi angle was oriented in a mostly positive (away) sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be elevated starting mid to late on day one (02 Jul) and persist through days two and three (03-04 Jul) due to the arrival of a co-rotating interaction region (CIR) and subsequent negative polarity CH HSS.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is forecast to reach G1-Minor storm conditions by late on day one and continuing through day two (02-03 Jul) due to the arrival of a CIR, followed by the onset of a recurrent negative polarity CH HSS. Mostly quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on day three (04 Jul) as CH HSS effects wane.
