Over the years I have noted that here in Alberta that
the Auroral Zone has a greater effect on over the
pole propagation than all the indexes would seem to
indicate. If the Auroral index is 5 or greater I
hear no signals over the pole even though I can hear
stations in the U.S. working them. When the indexes
are lower than 4 I start to hear signals over the
pole and the lower the index the better the signal
strengths. I was wondering if any other Albertans
were observing similar results wit the Auroral Zone?
