Yesterday afternoon and evening there was a nice Sporadic E (Es) band
opening on 6 meters between Florida and Ontario/New York. It formed
downstream of the winter storm system located in the central and southern
Plains states thanks to a traveling ionospheric disturbance.

With 100 watts and a dipole 25 feet above ground I easily worked into
Ontario.
