Sorry for the late response as I've been under the weather so to speak.
George is in retirement and Ted is involved in other things and I'm not
aware of a pending update of the "New Shortwave Propagation Handbook".
Surf the RSGB site at http://www.rsgb.org as they have some layman level
books on radiowave propagation for sale. Also Tomas NW7US has some books
about radiowave propagation on his website at http://propagation.hfradio.org
