SIDC URSIGRAM 41018
SIDC SOLAR BULLETIN 18 Oct 2004, 1240UT
SIDC FORECAST (valid from 1230UT, 18 Oct 2004 until 20 Oct 2004)
SOLAR FLARES : Quiet conditions (<50% probability of C-class flares)
GEOMAGNETISM : Quiet (A<20 and K<4)
SOLAR PROTONS : Quiet
PREDICTIONS FOR 18 Oct 2004 10CM FLUX: 093 / AP: 009
PREDICTIONS FOR 19 Oct 2004 10CM FLUX: 094 / AP: 007
PREDICTIONS FOR 20 Oct 2004 10CM FLUX: 095 / AP: 007

COMMENT: Solar background x-radiation is slowly increasing. This increase is
caused by the growing of sunspot group 42 grew in area and complexity and the
appearance of 3 new spots (with Catania numbering). The sunspot group next to
number 39 (NOAA 0682), popped up on Oct 17 and grew very fast to a
beta-configuration. Flaring activity is still low, but the increasing tendency
is expected to go on. Solar wind speed is really low: 300 km/s, the
interplanetary magnetic field is below 5nT and has a mostly positive and small
B_z component resulting in K_p indices of 0 and 1.

SOLAR INDICES FOR 17 Oct 2004
