Reg,
ONCE AGAIN, I have not got a reply from you or your company - to the e-mail
you sent me asking if I was SERIOUS that I never got a reply!! How
ridiculous.
Maybe if I post it in this public forum where everyone else can read it too,
and see all the things we've been waiting on replies to, I'll get a reply.
So glad we're placing the order for our Canopy 2.4GHz equipment today!!!!
Regards,

Reg,
Yup. Never heard back on a fix for the AP-1000 4.45 upgrade that doesn't
work. Never heard back to numerous voicemails left for Kelly on licensing
issues. Never heard back on a license key we lost for two of these AP's we
tried to upgrade and don't have the file for.
Never heard back from you on the e-mail I sent 4/21 about the dual-ethernet
board you had at the EC Expo. Nor the e-mail on 4/5 regarding roaming, nor
the e-mail on 3/30 regarding WARP.
All that aside, it'd be nice to get this one base and one satellite back up
after the failed upgrade to 4.45, but we didn't know we should be saving the
license files.

We've been wanting to drop them for a while, but have not been able to due
to the 15mi limit of Canopy 5.7 systems. With the release of the 2.4 with a
30mi limit, and 900MHz with a 70 mile limit - we no longer have any reason
to stay with Karlnet.
The equipment was already too expensive. Didn't work half the time. Had
constant problems. Management was a bitch. Not to mention support was
basically non-existent. We're still waiting for some licenses to be
recovered after trying to upgrade to 4.45. Still waiting for a call back on
some other issues - over two months out now.

Great. We may just drop Karlnet altogether.
Consistency matters. We just installed 13 Base units in 1 of our markets.
In 2 months, we may find that we can't afford the CPE? We are already
losing business due to the low up-front cost for other products.
I have had practically every Etherant-LR that I have installed fail and have
to be returned.
Maybe I need to scale back to a CB3 and Rootenna?
Looks like I am holding out for Kiwi.

I was informed this week by my vendor that the KN-50, KN-150, etc line of
products are being discontinued.
It was also indicated that the only options for Karlnet CPE's were going to
be the YDI products at much higher cost.
Can anyone verify this as the truth? If so, what are others planning to do?
