I was doing a dos ping test and using both the web interface and configurator
to look at stats.
I noticed about 100% retransmissions on the CPE's web interface. i.e. 400
packets transmitted, 400 retransmitted, 64 failed.
although the software on both ends reported near perfect signal quality as the
link is a mere 3/4 mile.
I was thinking about changing the card but wasn't sure the pigtail would match
up and didn't want to void my warranty.

Subject: RE: [Karlnet] KN50 packet loss bug
We have around 15, KN-50 units deployed at this stage and are finding
them really good, no duds so far. Some of our links are within 2km's
others are out at 15km, and another ISP we work with has one running at
27km.
Are you using the karlnet software to measure the packet loss or are you
doing a straight dos ping test?
Cheers,
Phil Britt

Yeah.. what the heck ?
I got my first KN-50 unit today for testing. 85% packet loss over the
wireless interface!!! With 1000ms pings when they did finally go
through.
This was 3/4 of a mile from my tower site. perfect LOS. perfect signal
quality.
I ended up installing a KN-100 unit with no problems whatsoever.
Is everyone having this problem, or is my luck such that I would pull a
Lemon on the first try?
Please advise,
Andy

Can anyone at Karlnet give us an update on progress
with this? Do you want everyone who is suffering from
it to report it directly to you? I haven't bothered to
report our problems as clearly others have already
contaced Karlnet and you are already working on it.
However, I need the fix as fast as anyone else so I
assume that you will release it as soon as it is
available?
Cheers,
Paul
