can somebody explain to me the point of wireless vlans? I'm not a huge
networking guy but my understanding of vlan is a virtual lan in a switching
environment. The purpose being to segment the switch to create multiple
logical switches. I know of two ways to divide the switch, (MAC based and
Port based) but how would this benefit a wireless network? Your AP cannot
be a controlled medium unless you are talking about making it so only CPEA
and CPEB and the AP can talk to each other, etc. (hmm)
Just wondering what your take on it was.
