IF so, force the AP Ethernet to 10Mbps and see if that resolves the problem.

I tried with various hubs and switches, forcing either to a particular
value with no success. 4.27 does not do this however therefore I don't
particularily need to experiment anymore. We had read that 3Com
equipment had some auto-negotiation problems, however it did the same
with our Cisco gear.
