All,

Here is the ANSWER! (I would have responded sooner, but I am on vacation
this week!)

Our configurator reports information it gets from the radio. Agere radios
(I am not sure that this happens with Intersil radios) report ANY RF it can
see. We thought about taking that OUT of the configurator, so that you
would not see clients that were not directly connected. Overall we decided
it was best to leave it in.

So your RG can see other clients from an RF perspective. But they cannot
pass data to eachother.

Hope this answers this issue!

Kevin

At the lower levels the Turbo Cell protocol works similar to 802.11b ad-hoc
or point-to-point systems. Or at least it does not fuction as an AP and
send out 802.11b AP beacon messages. This may be part of the reason Karlnet
does not do Auto Fallback speeds with Turbo Cell.
I am under the impression it does the polling, NWID and "System Access Pass
Phrase" on top of that.

If this answer is confusing or wrong please ignore.

I also see this same issue when doing a link test on some customers.

Here is my setup

AP-1000 w/ ISP base

RG-1000's w/ SOHO

Why when I do a link test at a client why do I not only get the
access point but adjacent clients? If I choose an adjacent client it looks
as if the clients are actually communicating with each other. It is
something I see all the time and would really like to know why they come up
this way.

Thanks,
Bob Hrbek
