Near a same trouble here. I was operating in the WAG contest, and the
first time with Win98SE, and found some bad tone on my DVP. I was using
DVP since 7 Years without trouble, now the first time under Win98SE Dos,
and the tone lucks like a bit stuttery. Maybe someone heard me on the
weekend with this really bad sound. Just 3 weeks ago I installed Win98SE
and this was my first contest.
It sounds like a short interupt every half second. So may be installing
a
seperat HD with real dos for the contest.
Ore may be change complete to Writelog and its soundcardoption..
I was really pleased with the DVP but under such conditions it is
useless.
