I encountered this problem.  I had a radio defined as being connected but
actually did not have one connected for a test.  It appears that COMTSR looks
for confirmation from the radio, and if not seeing it, reverts to the 20m
band.  I also find, on a Ten-Tec Omni VI+ at least, that using Alt-F1 or Alt-F2
to change bands gives spurious results if using the radio connected to CT.
Instead use the band buttons on the radio, and all will be fine.
