Hi! I took part in ARRL 10M this weekend with CT and an FT1000MP connected
to the computer. All went well until Sunday morning when I took a short
break to talk to the locals on 160M. As soon as I switched the radio to
160M the computer crashed. The first attempt at a reboot was not
successful as I could type in a callsign but CT would not let me log it.
There was an "out of band" error message at the bottom of the screen. I
finally overcame that problem and continued with the contest. At the end I
typed "WRITELOG" whereupon the computer crashed again. WRITELOG did
produce the .con file and one page only of the log in ASCII. I have tried
opening the contest file in both CQ WW and IOTA modes and both contests
show all the QSO's logged on 160M. Does anyone know an easy fix for this
problem? Also there seemed to be a problem with the CT/FT1000MP setup in
that the computer would switch the mode of the radio but would not QSY it
to the correct part of the band. Regards Ian G3TMA
