This is a completely different topic that gets raised every year or so. I
think some of the contests have rules about it now. And different op's
have varying ways to handle the problem.

In my case I did not ID every QSO. It was late in the Contest. I had two
or three loud Europeans (and some weaker ones) calling almost every time.
My report in every QSO revealed that I was in Maryland, and not North
Dakota or Yukon. I think that clearly indicates that I was newly QRV and
running for fun.  I did ID every third QSO or so if the pileup was big;
more often if it had thinned out. Sometimes I did not ID specifically so
the patient weaker stations who had been waiting could get a QSO.

If you are a Big Gun and cannot wait 20 or 30 seconds for the new runner to
work the guy he is calling, then go do something else until it's your turn.
