It usually happens after a contest- a dozen or more ops will get on and
complain that the Contest Software in WSJT didn't work; it wouldn't log
this contact, or failed to do this other thing. Well, here is your chance
to get those bugs fixed BEFORE the WW-Digit Contest.

This weekend, starting 0000z Sat Aug 5 and ending 2359z Sun Aug 6, there is
the Batavia FT8 contest. It is FT8 only covering 80-40-20-15-10. In the
contest announcement, which you can review at Batavia-FT8.com, it states to
"use the WW-Digit Contest Mode". If one wanted a perfect time to make
sure that the WW-Digit software works, this is it!

A few other comments about this contest;
1. Exchange is 4 digit Grid Squares
2. Multipliers are Prefixes per band AND DXCC per band
3. One thing not in the rules- unique callsigns (or calls that didn't turn
in a log or work at least 3 stations that did turn in logs) will be removed
from your log.

It is a relatively active contest, with a lot of DX and especially a lot of
YB stations!

If you do have software problems, there is still time to get the software
corrected (or you an explanation for why it works like that). You can send
me the particulars, or you can submit them to the WSJT or WSJT-Improved
mailing lists.

Thank you for your attention to this matter! We can improve the
performance of the software AND have some fun operating all at the same
time!
