K9YC said this:
"... with the scoring rules heavily weighted to those around the
Atlantic basin, make CQWW a complete turnoff for most of us living
elsewhere."
Whereas I'm sure CQWW is a complete turnoff for K9YC, I wrote back that
it is not a complete turnoff for N5OT. I mentioned a desire to see the
data. Instead of showing me the data, K9YC said:
"It's available if anyone cares to look."

Jim: I'll bite. I'm willing to coordinate these numbers for one
representative CQWW together under one condition: First you define what
you mean when you say "most" and "a complete turnoff."
To further clarify, I never said CQWW is not more popular in some places
than others. I think CQWW is not a level playing field. I agree that
it gives east coasters some advantage which some east coasters seem to
not recognize. All I said originally was that you don't speak for me,
since I have operated CQWW from California and Oklahoma many times and I
have not been turned off by doing so.
If you'll define your terms, I'll get the numbers and post them to this
forum of our peers so we can all drill down together.
73 - Mark N5OT
